Mountaineer Anurag Maloo, who survived a near-death accident on Mount Annapurna in Nepal in April, has been flown to India, where he will undergo treatment.
Maloo, who was undergoing treatment in Kathmandu ever since he was found alive on April 20, was airlifted to Delhi on Thursday night.
Anurag fell from around 6,000 meters
According to his brother, Maloo was airlifted to New Delhi for further treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after he regained consciousness.
34-year-old Maloo, a resident of Kishangarh in Rajasthan, went missing in mid-April after he fell from around 6,000 meters while descending from Camp III. Mount Annapurna is the 10th highest mountain in the world.

Two more Indians rescued
Around the same time, another renowned Indian mountaineer Baljeet Kaur had also gone missing on Mount Annapurna and was initially presumed dead.
However, the record-holding Indian woman climber who went missing near Camp IV of Annapurna while descending from the summit point was rescued through a chopper using a longline technique.
Baljeet Kaur
The aerial search mission was initiated after Kaur, who scaled the world’s 10th-highest peak without using supplemental oxygen, managed to send a radio signal asking for “immediate help”.
Another Indian national, Arjun Vajpai, the youngest from the country to climb Everest in 2010, was also rescued from the areas between Camp III and Camp IV of Annapurna.
